Together with its customers and suppliers, Tetra Pak contributes to the safe, efficient and environmentally sound production and distribution of liquid foods to the consumers of the world. Tetra Pak has been working for more than 12 years in India to establish a sustainable ecosystem for used Tetra Pak carton recycling.

Its efforts are organised around 3 areas:
a) Establishing recycling infrastructure.
b) Ramping up collections by partnering with informal waste pickers, NGOs, waste management companies etc.
c) Sensitizing consumers on their role in waste management.

The company is committed to create sustainable and thriving communities through collaborative initiatives between the Government, Private sector and Civil society. Our sustainability projects aim to further strengthen our positive impact on the community, with a special focus on water, agriculture and recycling. This project is an extension of the same endeavor to contribute to the solution of Solid Waste Management in Gurugram.

The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) is our main commissioning party, but we also work with the private sector, fostering successful interaction between development policy and foreign trade. This project is supported by BMZ under Development Partnership with the Private Sector in India for waste management sector.
